Why We Don’t Show Coverage Maps — And What You Can Use Instead

If you’ve been browsing Airsims.com.au looking for a mobile coverage map, you might be wondering why you haven’t seen one. Don’t worry — it’s not missing. We’ve chosen not to display one, and here’s why.

The Truth About Coverage Maps 📍

The world's mobile coverage is full of variables. It can change from city to suburb, street to street, even indoors vs outdoors. On top of that, our AirSims often rely on local roaming agreements and international networks — which means coverage can shift based on location, demand, and local infrastructure.

So rather than show a generic, best-case-scenario map (which may not match your actual experience), we prefer to point you toward tools that can reflect real-world data.

A Smarter Option: nPerf.com ⚡

Instead of a static map, we recommend checking out nPerf.com — a third-party, crowd-sourced tool we like to use (we’re not affiliated or have any financial agreements) that shows network performance across 3G, 4G, and 5G.

With nPerf, you can:

🔍 Search by carrier and location

📶 View signal strength, download/upload speeds, and latency

👓 See real user data — not just predictions

It’s an excellent way to get a better idea of what to expect wherever you're headed.

A Quick Word on Crowd-Sourced Data ⚠️

Crowd-sourced tools like nPerf are powerful, but they’re not perfect:

💡 Data is richer in populated areas, where more users contribute.

💡 Remote regions may have less consistent reporting. Due to being less travelled.

💡 Recent network upgrades might take time to reflect in the data.

Still, it’s one of the best ways to get a somewhat realistic sense of how networks are performing on the ground.

In Summary ✅

We don’t provide coverage maps at Airsims.com.au because the data would often be inaccurate or misleading. Instead, we recommend using live tools like nPerf (or a tool of your preference) to explore real-time, community-sourced network performance and coverage.
