How to Delete Old eSIMs on iPhone and Android (De-Clutter)

How to Delete Old eSIMs on iPhone and Android (De-Clutter)

If you've travelled with multiple eSIMs, your phone may eventually become cluttered with old, expired, or unused eSIM profiles. Removing old eSIMs can make it easier to manage your active plans, avoid confusion when travelling, and keep your device organised.

Before deleting an eSIM, always double-check that it is no longer required. Once an eSIM is deleted, it usually cannot be reinstalled without a new QR code or activation process.

Why Delete Old eSIMs?

  • Keep your mobile settings organised.
  • Make it easier to identify your active travel eSIM.
  • Avoid accidentally selecting an expired plan.
  • Free up eSIM profile space on devices with storage limits.
  • Simplify troubleshooting when travelling.

Find the Correct eSIM Using the ICCID

If you have multiple eSIMs installed, the easiest way to identify the correct one is by checking the ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identifier).

Your ICCID can usually be found:

  • In your AirSims order confirmation email.
  • Inside your AirSims account or order details.
  • Within the eSIM information section on your device.

Compare the ICCID shown on your device with the ICCID provided in your AirSims order to ensure you're deleting the correct profile.

Tip: Consider renaming active eSIMs (such as "Europe 2026" or "Japan Trip") before travelling to make future management easier.
