Yes, majority of eSIMs allow hotspot use. Check plan details to confirm.
12. Can I Use eSIM for Standard Calls and SMS?
No. Our eSIMs are data-only. Use apps like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or Teams for web calls and texts. However, you can setup to use your home SIM (for std. calls and SMS) and eSIM
13. Can I Have Multiple eSIMs Installed?
Most modern phones support multiple eSIMs. You will need to refer to your phone's documentation.
14. When will my eSIM days start counting?
Starts counting when you land at your destination. 🛬
15. What happens if I delete my eSIM by mistake?
You can simply re-scan on the same phone. If it doesn't work or you changed phones - Contact support.
16. Do I need Wi-Fi to activate the eSIM?
You only need Wi-Fi for the install (scan QR or click Express Install) phase. eSIM will auto activate when you land at the destination. Turn ON the eSIM and roaming for the eSIM - Any problems contact support.

1. Fastest Way to Check for eSIM Compatibility?
Dial *#06# - if you see an “EID” number, your device supports eSIM. Some devices may be blocked by carrier locks or firmware.
2. Apple iOS Activation Error
“Unable to Activate” or “Activation Failure” is normal if you try outside your destination country. Connect on arrival or see our guide.
3. My eSIM Isn’t Connecting Abroad
Restart your phone, eSIM selected and ensure roaming is ON. Contact support if still not working.
4. Can I Reinstall My eSIM if Deleted?
Yes, but only on the same phone (cannot be transferred for security reasons). Contact support for a manual replacement if you get stuck.
5. Will My Number Stay the Same?
Yes, your regular home SIM/eSIM and phone number remain active. The AirSims eSIM only provides travel data (internet).
6. How Do I Remove an eSIM After Travel?
Go to Mobile/Cellular settings and delete the eSIM profile. Depending on the brand and phone you may need to reboot.
7. Does eSIM Work on Smartwatches, iPads, or Laptops? 💻⌚
Yes, on models that support eSIM, but we recommend checking your documentation 1st.
8. Do I get a local overseas phone number?
No. Our eSIMs are data (internet only), Which means no standard SMS or calls included.
9. Are US / Canada model phones supported?
Yes. However, we recommend you check your phone's documentation for foreign networks (bands). Here is a general guide.
10. Does iOS 26+ work differently?
Yes - iOS 26+ automates majority of the eSIM provisioning and switching, making it easier to use. Here is more information.
11. Is My eSIM Secure? 🔒
Yes - eSIMs are embedded and non-transferable, harder to lose than physical SIMs and protected by your phone’s security settings.
